A Slice of Google

Shoreditch and the area’s pared back, urban food-scene provided the inspiration for our recent collaboration with leading experiential agency Slice for tech giant Google, to celebrate the launch of Google partners’ Premier Partner Badge.

The Bloomsbury venue was brought to life with a raw industrial warehouse look, and in synergy with Slice’s post-modern theme, we constructed bold food platforms from scaffolding planks complete with copper heat lamps, to create an edgy eating experience within the urban setting.

For the menu we played to the zeitgeist, serving up a big, brash, in-your-face meat-fest; melt-in-the-mouth Brisket with Slaw on Rye nodded to our national obsession with the Yankee barbecue, and a blokey Streaky Lamb Bacon Sandwich with Mint Jelly, playfully re-thought a British institution. Other lip-smacking dishes included a Lobster Mac ’n’ Cheese and a Pulled Rabbit Sausage Roll with Carrot Ketchup, showcasing the best in transatlantic food trends.

Later in the evening, a second food station was revealed, groaning with desserts and sending sweet-toothed guests into a frenzy. Once again the Anglo-American theme reigned supreme with Rhubarb Arctic Roll Lollipops, Raspberry Knickerbocker Glories and our signature Deep Filled Lemon Meringue Pie.

Urban, Edgy, Delicious.
