Zafferano Takes London On Holiday
London celebrated its Indian summer with a series of Zafferano events that provided guests with an instant holiday experience.
For a newly-merged consulting firm, Zafferano threw a superb Moroccan-themed party for 200 staff and graduate recruits at Kent House, Knightsbridge. As the venue boasts a wonderful roof garden, Zafferano made the most of the warm September evenings by serving a lavish barbecue buffet. True to the north African theme, the delicious menu included lamb merguez sausages, swordfish kebabs and a dessert of bite-size filo baskets filled with rose scented cream and grilled figs.
Meanwhile, Society of Wildlife Artists' exhibition proved a popular focus for late summer events at the Mall Galleries. Exhibition sponsors, General Motors Acceptance Corp, led the way by hosting a reception for 300 guests to launch the show. PRP Architects gave a party during this same busy week and made the most of the wildlife theme by taking their guests on safari. Swathes of zebra, leopard and giraffe print linen provided the perfect complement to both the exhibition and the food. Zafferano's adventurous menu included mini open chargrilled ostrich steak sandwiches on toasted focaccia with a traditional South African chakalaka salsa. Also on offer were braai-grilled peri-peri shrimp skewers with exotic fruit ribbons and a refreshing lime and coriander dressing.
Back in the urban jungle, Zafferano staged a two day event for Revlon in their new offices in Greater London House, and New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) launched a new trading floor in Finsbury Square with a breakfast event for press and traders. Guests were transported across the Atlantic by a lavish New York Style breakfast that ranged from substantial Reuben sandwiches of pastrami, cheese, pickle and mustard through to a delightful, lightweight combination of greek yoghurt, granola and summer berries served in old fashioned whisky glasses.
Zafferano is also delighted to announce its association with Sony Ericsson Proud Galleries (including Proud Central and Proud Camden). For T-Mobile Zafferano provided exquisite static canapes presented in tall vases and fabulous summer drinks for an early evening reception before a 'T-mobile Street Gig'.
'September has been an exceptionally busy time for us.' comments Zafferano's MD Julian Saipe. 'Our clients have all been eager to take advantage of the warm weather with imaginative events that really capture the holiday spirit.'
