New Look at Historic Palace

On February 7th, Enotria Winecellars staged their annual wine tasting for 600 buyers at Banqueting House, Whitehall - one of London's Historic Royal Palaces.

All 600 guests - including celebrity Chef Giorgio Locatelli - were also invited to a Zafferano buffet style lunch in The Undercroft (once the drinking den of James I), served café style with occasional tables dressed in a linen palette of Armani-style neutrals.

Zafferano also designed dramatic Sienese style 'Enotria' banners that hung down from the Main Hall balcony, as well as branded Enotria uniforms for over 40 Zafferano waiting staff.

Lunch for 600 included a '28 day aged' fillet of beef with salsa verde, Winter squash and gorgonzola tarts, Salad of Castellucio lentils with beetroot and Cabernet Sauvignon vinaigrette, Winter leaves with blood orange, pomegranate and pine nuts, as well as a fabulous cheese and dessert canapé stall including Pannatone cups filled with vanilla mascarpone and grilled fig to compliment Enotria's dessert wine station.

Davina Boyle, Enotria's Head of Business Development commented: "The task of satisfying 600 members of the restaurant trade is always going to be a challenge. Add to that a fair number of Italians who are hard to please away from their home cooking.
