We are unashamedly proud of our reputation as the go-to caterers for West End Theatre Premières and so were thrilled to add “Beautiful” to our portfolio of legendary first night parties. Read more …

The London transfer of the smash-hit Broadway show celebrates the life and work of universally acclaimed singer / song writer Carole King, from her early life in Brooklyn, tracking her remarkable rise to stardom. In homage to Miss King, who was guest of honour at the Somerset House bash – we designed a Brooklyn Deli inspired menu to sate the appetites of 800 famished theatre goers, including Mark Ronson, Sarah Cox and Zafferano’s favourite client Sir Cameron Mackintosh.

The menu celebrated the strong Jewish and Italian influences of the New York suburb and included canapés such as “Parmesan taco, goat’s cheese & bourbon jam”, “Sweet potato latkes with sour cream” and “Pulled Dexter shortrib beef on Zopf bread”. More substantial bowl food included “Italian beef meatballs on parmesan polenta”, good old “Mac’n’cheese” and “Matzo-meal sole goujons with aioli”. A Brooklyn Bagel Bar added further welcome sustenance, and night owls lasting the duration were treated to a duo of New York baked cheesecakes circulated by waitresses wearing “Beautiful” yellow ribbons in their hair.

As Sue Uing, the undisputed first lady of the West End Theatre declared “The reports today from the producers are just wonderful, they loved the food and everyone had just the best time, so thank you for making it all work so well and for creating a party to go down in the annals of West End history”

To be top of our game – it’s a Beautiful thing!
