Zafferano provided a selection of theatrical treats for 1,600 guests attending a party celebrating the world premiere of new musical, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Taking place at the Grand Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden, celebrities Sarah Jessica Parker, Uma Thurman and Graham Norton were all in attendance to celebrate the opening of the West End show, directed by Oscar-winner Sam Mendes.

Zafferano provided a range of themed canapés, bowl food and food stations, including Augustus Gloop’s hot dogs, Mike Teavee Dinners, and a focal point pick n mix sweet bar with Quality Street-filled squirrels.

Waitresses were dressed in violet velour tracksuits and wigs, and made up the 150 front-of-house staff working throughout the night.

Joanna Moody, creative director at Zafferano, said the execution of the catering was a year in the making, and required a large team of chefs and event planners working together with party organiser Sue Uings.
