The Greatest Show On Earth!

One of the perks of working in our game is being able to create parties in some really special locations, and an authentic 1920’s big top Spiegel Tent built in a central London square was certainly no exception. The Spiegel Tent was the stage for one our favourite clients, and 500 guests, to celebrate a rather special milestone birthday, and he certainly pulled out all the stops. cm-interiorcm-barmancm-waitress

Our client is a renowned foodie, and so the menu design was very much a collaboration, ensuring that his favourite ingredients and dishes were in plentiful supply. A luxurious 3 tiered ice seafood station served straight-off-the-boat langoustine (driven over night from the West Coast of Scotland) and native oysters shucked to order, along with slivers of succulent Scottish smoked salmon. cm-ice-tower-2cm-seafood-close-up A lavish selection of main courses followed, with guests feasting on Ballotine of guinea fowl, melt-in-the-mouth Lady Dumfries fillet of beef, alongside herb-crusted lamb cutlets and a fragrant prawn and monkfish curry. This was followed with equal style and grandeur by separate dessert and cheese stations overflowing with unbeatable eatables, such as pecan pie, chocolate opera cake, blackberry Eton Mess and a selection of the finest British and Irish artisan cheeses.

In addition to the big top, guests enjoyed a vintage Carousel, classic Dodgems as well as being entertained by a 22 piece band and a special surprise guest jumping out of a 3 tiered birthday cake! cm-carousel A performance of this level was certainly worthy of an encore. As the event continued into the wee small hours, playful fairground stalls opened to offer party ‘stalwarts’ some nourishment. Juicy venison burgers were complemented with some carnival classics: Toffee apples, candy floss, doughnuts, popcorn and of course, Mr. Whippy ice cream! cm-ducks
