Zafferano joins the Guildhall

Fanfare please! From 1st January, Zafferano became an accredited caterer at the historic Guildhall.

The Guildhall is surely one of London’s most ancient working venues with its oldest parts dating back to the 12th century. During this colourful history it has played witness to several infamous events, not least the trial of Lady Jane Grey in 1553.

Today it is home to the City of London Corporation, and its role is no less impressive, playing host to important ceremonial events of visiting dignitaries and our own Royal Family, 57 of whom gathered at the Guildhall in 2016 to celebrate Her Majesty’s 90th birthday!

From a potential venue’s perspective it has it all. An enviable location, slap bang in the heart of the Square Mile, a colourful history with ample points of interest with which to amaze visiting guests, but perhaps, most significantly, the Guildhall is one of only a few historical London venues to offer both daytime and evening events. To boot, it offers an incredible seven flexible event spaces – the Great Hall, Crypts, Old Library, Print Room, Chief Commoner’s Parlour, Livery Hall, Basinghall Suite and even an Art Gallery – catering from a handful of guests up to an impressive 900!

The Guildhall has also staged events featuring some of the world’s best known performers including the Royal Ballet, London Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Birdy, Paloma Faith, and Dynamo, as well as a host of  event performances from the musicals including Oliver, Wicked, Jersey Boys, and Mary Poppins.

If you would like to know more about how the Guildhall might work for a future event, please get in touch with Lulu Summerfield lulu@www.zafferano.co.uk who will be delighted to give you a guided tour!
