On Tuesday 23rd February we had the privilege of hosting the first birthday party for the cast, crew and friends of the award-winning show, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical at the Aldwych Theatre, London
The evening gave us the perfect opportunity to flex our creative muscles, offering guests a range of delicious canapés, playfully designed around the musical’s branding of black and yellow. Strikingly visual jewelled quails eggs on black dipping salts played off against elegant little lobster rolls, verdant ‘garden cones’ and decadently crispy duck pancakes with caramelised pineapple. A visual feast for the eyes, the mouth-watering morsels were snapped up almost as soon as they left the kitchen. To further enhance the two-tone branded feel, we used specially selected canapé platters, and dressed waitresses in simple, sophisticated black uniforms, offset with a simple, chic yellow hairband.
This celebration marks the latest in a long line of theatre milestone events for us, with past showstoppers including: the first night parties of Kinky Boots, Miss Saigon and even Beautiful itself (at the spectacular Somerset House), as well as the 30th anniversary of Les Miserables.
